- Halloween Spooktacular at Downtown Berkeley Library on Monday, October 24. Age-appropriate stories for preschoolers and older, costumes are encouraged.
- Halloween Storytelling and Magic at South Branch of Berkeley Library (Russell Street) on Thursday, October 27.
- Parade on Lakeshore and Lakepark Avenues on Saturday the 29th. Local merchants will greet kids with treats.
- Parade around San Pablo Park on Saturday the 29th. Costume contest, freeze dance contest, and free food and goodie bags.
- Boo at the Zoo runs on Saturday and Sunday at the Oakland Zoo. Lots of activities and a free ride for kids in costumes.
- Halloween Caberet Carnival at the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley on Saturday the 29th. For music-living kids who like to dance.
- Kids Costume Contest in the Gourmet Ghetto on Saturday.
- Not-too-spooky Halloween at Habitot runs Saturday, Sunday and Monday for babies and toddlers and preschoolers.
- Halloween Caberet Carnival (Part Deux) at Ashkenaz on Sunday.
- Halloween Parade on upper Solano Avenue on Halloween Morning. Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to watch from the sidelines.
- Trick or Treating on Fourth Street in Berkeley on Halloween afternoon.
