1) Kid Dynamo – Located on Upper Shattuck near Saul’s, Kid Dynamo carries the coolest kids clothes on the market, including rain gear. If a modern aesthetic is important to you, stop by this shop.

2) Hanna’s – This kids resale shop is a great place to look for rain boots, rain jackets and umbrellas. Bring your kids outgrown gear, and swap for credit towards your new purchase. Call ahead to see if she has any rain boots in the size you need.

3) Rockridge Kids – Carrying the brand Pluie Pluie in styles for boys and girls, sizes 5-13, this neighborhood fixture of Rockridge has jackets and umbrellas, too.

These are all great shops to go to for rain gear. I want to throw my hat in the ring as well: Ruby’s Garden! We’re carrying rain gear by Hatley and local favorites Pluie Pluie. We also get them in our Gently Used corner for great bargains.

I was just in Grove Street Kids yesterday, and they have a few too (although not in the size I was looking for, darn it!). I actually did not see any at Target in Albany this week.
We just bought some first shoes and first rainboots from Happy Feet. We also stocked the rest of our rainboot wardrobe from Zappos, Amazon, and Sports Authority.
While all of these shops are great, local retailers – there’s one more option that deserves mention. Habitot Children’s Museum also stocks rain gear from Kiddorable in thier gift shop. Sizes are target for ages 1-7-ish. All of the gift shop proceeds help support our amazing, non-profit children’s museum. Members get a discount too!
