- Halloween movie at King Pool with free popcorn to the first 25 patrons on 10/30
- Day of the Dead celebration in Fruitvale also on Sunday
- For the actual day of Halloween, join the kid-party at Trunk or Treat in Oakland
- Our picks for trick-or-treating? Ogle some amazing decorations and spooky houses on Mariposa in North Berkeley; Russell Street above College; or Lawton between College and Broadway in Oakland.
- Another Day of the Dead celebration on Shattuck (11/2)
- Brave kids (and moms with strollers!) can always hike through the Mountain View Cemetary
