<Updated location as of July 20> Bites on Broadway totally looks like a good time, but I want to know how family-friendly this is. Would it be a great place for a crazy toddler or just some well-mannered big kids who know enough not to run in the street? What about a baby in a carrier? Or should I just leave the kids at home and head out for a foodie-tastic cheap date night? We can find out the answers to these questions and more very soon!
Starting June 10th and running throughout October, East Bayers can enjoy mobile food and family fun on Friday nights. Bites on Broadway will include the best of Oakland’s food trucks with family-friendly services like local music and games. Valet bike parking available.
I went to the first and thought it was a great attempt, but there were too few vendors so lines were long. They promise more vendors so lines and choices should improve. Lots of kids, dogs and folks enjoying a neighborly good time.
Looking forward to going back and trying it again.
