Get messy at Berkeley’s Sticky Art Lab

Sticky Art Lab in Berkeley is the perfect place to spend a few hours with your kids getting creative with art supplies.

Drop in on Family Fridays for toddler- and preschooler-friendly activities and materials or Saturdays for Coffee & Crafts, during which guests pay an admission price and then have access to all the supplies and tools they want to use for crafting.

After school, the bigger kids rule the roost with drop-off programs for children age 6 to 12.

My six-year old went to a week-long camp at Sticky one summer and loved it. Each day, he came home with new stories (“I got to use a hot glue gun!”) and new creations (homemade game, puppets, vehicles, wire people, remnants from a volcano) based on recycled materials and imagination. Does your child need more structure? The Sticky crew provides prompts and demos to get those creative juices flowing with scrappy crafting and art projects.

In addition to the main purpose of creative family making sessions, you can expect periodic specialty workshops, birthday parties, and local craft sales. Coffee & Crafts is a Saturday morning mainstay from 10am to 1pm for ages 2 and up.

Basic lab pricing is $10 per person, $25 for 3 people, and $5 for each additional in your group for ages 2 and up, no matter your skill level, no registration necessary.

Prices for other activities, camps, parties, and workshops vary.
