All entertainment, attractions and free art activities are included in the price of admission — $5 with a canned food item; $6 without a can. $5 for parking in certain lots as well.

More than 20 amusement rides (Zip line, Ferris wheel, pony rides, EuroBungy trampoline, Bobble Lagoon, Hamster Balls, petting zoo, giant slide and much more) and a food court are not included in the price of admission.

Babies under 24 months and Seniors 65+ are free.

Other activities include football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, golf, lacrosse, basketball and a fitness obstacle course. Expect free demonstrations, clinics, contests and fun activities for kids of all ages.

Where: Mt. Diablo High School is located in Downtown Concord at 2450 Grant St. just 4 blocks from Todos Santos Plaza or the Highway 242 exit at Grant St./Solano Way. KidFest Parking on the Mt. Diablo High School lots is $5 per day. Handicap parking is available directly in front of entrance gate. Parking toll lots at Mt. Diablo HS will open at 9:30 a.m. each day. Only parking lot entrance is on Grant St. near Bacon St. If you’re taking BART to KidFest leave the Concord Station towards Park St. Go 1 block on Park St., turn right at Grant St. and walk 7 blocks to KidFest.

This upcoming Wednesday May 22nd, Whole Foods Market Berkeley will be donating 5% of Net store sales to Berkeley school garden and cooking programs. Stock up on big ticket items like vitamins, fish, and wine because 5% of the money they spend will go directly to our schools.

At California Adventure

Cars Land and Buena Vista Street

Based on Emeryville’s own beloved Pixar characters — Cars Land recreated the town of Radiator Springs along Route 66 — the recently expanded Disney California Adventure Park just added four new attractions: Radiator Springs Racers, Luigi’s Flying Tires, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and the Red Car Trolley. Even Whitney (who has never seen either movie!!) was amazed at how true-to-the-movie all the little details were when she visited last spring.

Monstrous Summer starts Memorial Day

To celebrate the opening of Monsters University this year, Disney Parks on both coasts are kicking off a “Monstrous Summer” with All-Nighters from 6 a.m. To 6 a.m. on Memorial Day Weekend. Guests who join the party will be rewarded with special entertainment, including a Monsters University “TLT Monstrous” Dance Club and Star Wars characters in Tomorrowland, and late-night Character Pajama Party in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland. Maybe you can beat the crowds if you and your partner swap care-giving duties on the night shift?

Other Monsters U entertainment and special merchandise will be available throughout the summer but without the overnight party vibe.

New Fantasy Faire

Princess lovers will want to run to the Fantasy Faire, a new storybook village near Sleeping Beauty Castle. You can meet several Disney Princesses as they stroll through the beautiful Royal Hall, and watch two Princess-themed shows at the Royal Theatre. The musical shows tell the tales of Rapunzel and Belle as presented by a pair of silly vaudeville-style Renaissance storytellers.

Fun activities for kids include: enormous bubbles, lifesize version of the old Mouse Trap game, bicycle inventions, robotic cupcakes, R2D2, air-powered rockets you build yourself, and more LEGO than you’ve ever seen before!
