Santa put a copy of the East Bay Chinook Book in my husband’s stocking. If you’re not familiar, this is a thick book of coupons for local businesses, mostly independent, ranging from destinations like Fairyland to grocery items such as Organic Valley milk. The book is $20 at full price, but you’ll see it marked down sometimes. I, er, Santa bought it at Andronico’s, and it’s sold at many of the natural grocery stores, coffee shops, yoga studios, and some of the advertising restaurants.
Inside the book is a code for a mobile app – iPhone and Android – that enables users to load all the coupons on their phone. Perfect. The worst part about paying for coupons is forgetting to use them, right? I had already suggested that we keep the Chinook Book in the car, and discovering that it can be on my husband’s phone sounded like having them when we needed them was getting close to foolproof.
And now… good news for you! The mobile app is free to the first 20,000 users. No need to buy the book if you act quickly. Here’s the iTunes link.
My husband says his favorite part is looking to see what money-saving opportunities are near you in real-time.
