Since launching this site, I have had the great pleasure of becoming connected to other hyperlocal bloggers who have started similar sites in their own cities. From Atlanta to Grand Rapids, MI to Westchester County, NY, my peers have put together online resources to serve their communities, and perhaps, with summer travel on the horizon, to serve tourists.
I’m sharing the list here in case you’ve got a trip planned to a destination where it’s less than obvious what to do with kids. My fellow mom reporters work hard to round up local spraygrounds, where kids eat free, and indoor destinations to beat the heat.
Please tell us in the comments what not-such-a-tourist-destination is on your summer agenda.

Great list! Thanks for sharing. With family in the DC and Chicago areas, I’ll be bookmarking those sites, alongside my beloved 510!
