Last year I learned the hard way that Fall and Winter birthday parties should be scheduled at indoor venues. We were rained out hours before the party started and brought everyone into our house. Over the past year, we have identified some great resources for indoor birthday parties.

For those who want to keep their houses intact, there are venues, and for those who want to keep the party at home, we’ve got some entertainers we’ve reviewed. If you are in-the-know about other East Bay birthday party gems, please add your tips in the comments.

I’m a face painter based in Alameda, and serve the greater Bay Area for fairs, festivals, grand openings, corporate picnics and events, and of course… BIRTHDAY PARTIES! My face painting is attractive and age-appropriate. I use only professional grade cosmetic products on skin – no Sharpies, acrylics, or cheap drugstore face paints – so the paints are comfortable to wear and easy to remove with soap and water.
All of the entertainers listed in this article are, happily, first-rate! And we can book up very quickly. So if you have a special event coming up, try to get the ball rolling about 2 months in advance to avoid disappointment!
If you contact me for a party, and mention http://www.510families.com, I’ll give you a 5.1% discount on your booking!
