Kid Report: Menchie’s – Berkeley Frozen Yogurt

I will be in third grade this fall. I am a guest writer on 510Families.com this summer.

Frozen yogurt in Berkeley: Menchie's

Do you think your kids enjoy frozen yogurt on a hot day?  Well, I love frozen yogurt on a hot day, especially at Menchie’s.

One reason Menchie’s is special is it has so many flavors.  My brother likes Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Cake Batter, but I like Dulce De Leche and Nutella.

A fun topping at Menchie’s is marshmallow sauce.  I haven’t seen it anywhere else in the world.  There is another sauce made with Hershey’s chocolate that can freeze in under fifteen seconds.  Also, there are some epic sprinkles that change colors.

My mom likes Menchie’s because it is cheap.  The cost depends on the weight of what you get.

There is high up seating that can be fun for kids.  There is also low seating adults may prefer.   Some kids are fast eaters.  When they’re done, they can draw on a big chalkboard or look at Cal posters.  That’s why I love Menchie’s!

It is near the Cal campus.  The address is 1862 Euclid Avenue.

Editor’s note: If your child would like to share a favorite place with 510Families.com readers, send the writing to [email protected]. Please include 1-3 photos to go with the story, too.
