Cal Day Fun for Families Around Berkeley

In 2023, Cal Day is on Saturday, April 22, and is only open to UC Berkeley students and prospects and their families. Sorry, East Bay residents, you are not invited to the party this year!

Cal Day used to be a community-wide series of events for all of Berkeley. The last in-person, family-friendly Cal Day was in 2019.

If you’re visiting Berkeley with an admitted student and some little siblings, there are a handful of special activities you might want to try with children too young to appreciate a good physics lecture. Download the Cal Day app in order to access any special admission passes not available to the general public:

If you’re bringing babies, hang onto this list of changing table locations and lactation room access on campus.

In addition to the fantastic special events happening on campus, Cal Day means that Lawrence Hall of Science (10 am to 5 pm), BAMPFA (11 am to 7 pm) are open for FREE all day.
