It has been a couple of months since our Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley membership ran out so I was super excited for the chance to check out the new Xtreme BUGS exhibit.
The main attraction of the exhibit is the collection of giant-scale animatronic bugs.
Although our three-old was a bit frightened in the dark main exhibit hall we all enjoyed craning our necks to see what the robotic insects were going to do next. It’s always great interacting with the Cal students and LHS employees who are working the hands-on exhibits.
We spent a fair amount of time watching Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches make their way through a maze – totally creepy and cool at the same time. I recommend the exhibit to any bug-loving families.
