Curbside Creamery in the Temescal District of Oakland – Vegan and non-vegan scoops, soft-serve (think pistachio, blackberry, Thai tea) and freshly made waffle cones. Flavors change weekly and Temescal Alley is just the cutest place to sit and enjoy a drippy cone. Also takes online orders.

Fentons Creamery on Piedmont Ave – Offers a full diner-style menu in addition to ice cream by the scoop and sundaes. The best deal is ordering a deconstructed banana split off the kiddie menu.

Flavor Brigade Italian Water Ice in the Fruitvale District of Oakland (with a second location in Pleasanton) – Layered frozen custard plus Italian ice. You can get scoops of traditional ice cream too, but why would you? Open for walk-up.

Humphry Slocombe found in Uptown Oakland, Berkeley, and soon-to-be Redwood City is a San Francisco favorite that has made its way over the Bay. Everyone’s favorite flavor is their Secret Breakfast– what’s in it? Go try it and tell us what you think. Open for dine-in as well as local delivery. Little Giant Ice Cream in Uptown Oakland – Robots, bright Tolix chairs and mini pink picnic tables makes this place super kid-friendly (and so cute!). Try the dirty south for you, stick with chocolate for them. Open for walk-up and direct delivery (where the cuteness extends to the to-go packaging).

Nieves Cinco de Mayo in the Fruitvale District of Oakland – Mexican ice cream at its finest! Try a mangonada for a real Mexican treat: mango sherbet, lime juice, and chili. Open for takeout and outdoor dining!

Almare Gelato in Downtown Berkeley (and Pleasanton) – Conveniently located in the Bart plaza, serving authentic Italian gelato made fresh on-site! Open for takeout, dine-in, and delivery through Ubereats and Doordash.

Humphry Slocombe found in Berkeley’s Elmwood District as well as a few other Bay Area spots. Open for takeout and delivery through DoorDash. You can also order ice cream cakes and pies!

IScream on Solano in Berkeley  – You can’t walk up Solano and not smell IScream. The smell of fresh waffle cones lures you in! This local gem is open for takeout.

Tara’s Organic Ice Cream on College Ave. – Delicious, organic, creative flavors are always changing, cones made right there in plain and black sesame. They also make cakes! Open for takeout and delivery.
