The New Parkway Theater’s upcoming Animation Week, from April 6th-12th has everything from family friendly favorites, to Miyazaki’s contemporary classics, to Fritz the Cat (the first ever X-rated animated film — good for parents with an irreverent sense of humor, but please don’t make the mistake of bringing the kids!).
Check out the full schedule here and remember that not all cartoons are for kids!
My children are begging me to see Early Man and Paddington 2, and we’d rather steer them towards My Neighbor Totoro. What will yours want?
Tickets are available for pre-sale and some will be for sale at the door (pending space)!
THE NEW PARKWAY THEATER is a community-centered cinema and pub located in Oakland’s Uptown district with cozy couches and a creative array of programming spanning new releases and cult classics. Delicious food and local beer are delivered right to your theater seat. We love Baby Brigade and Cereal Cinema but you might prefer Open Mic Mondays or Karaoke Fridays.
