In collaboration with some amazing family-loving companies, we invited parents with pre-crawling babies to spend the morning at Brushstrokes Studio in West Berkeley, putting their infant’s footprints on ceramic pottery pieces. The whole thing was lovely from top to bottom.
Our photography partner, Babylove by Nissa Brehmer, shot all these photos in this article and lots more. Nissa offered 5-minute mini photo sessions during our event. When she’s not hanging out with us, she photographs birth, babies and bonding through the first year. You can see more of the babies who attended in her online gallery.
In the upstairs studio of Brushstrokes, SpoonfulOne taught us about the new research and practices around feeding solid food to new eaters. In order to prevent common allergies, pediatricians and allergy specialists now suggest offering common allergens early and often to build familiarity in a young one. SpoonfulOne’s Daily Food Mix-in makes it easy to feed, early and often, all the foods most commonly responsible for food allergies to set a healthy foundation for your child to gently train your child’s immune system and reduce food allergy risk.
The goody bags we sent everyone home with included a sample of the ultra soft, reusable heart-shaped breastfeeding pads made by Bamboobies (yes, they’re made from bamboo!). Bamboobies offers breastfeeding support products on a mission to ensure that new mothers and babies are happier and healthier, and so is their world.
As always, we are so grateful to work with Brushstrokes Studio, a spacious, bright, art oasis where you can exercise your imagination. Stop by, slow down, and make something beautiful there.
