Alameda Mini Maker Faire - 510 Families

Alameda Mini Maker Faire

The Alameda Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly celebration of maker culture, featuring 80+ interactive exhibits from local DIY’rs, scientists, designers, tinkerers, and artisans, including:

  • Nerdy Derby: Build your own mini-derby car and race on a custom-built track.
  • Make it, Wear it: Use electronics and 3D printing to make interactive light- up clothing and costumes.
  • Life Size Operation: Try your hand at this 6 foot tall, fully functioning Operation game. Keep a steady hand or you will sound the buzzer and lightup the patient’s nose.
  • Burning Man Art: Check out the Unnecessarily High Five, an interactive art piece which encourages participants of all ages to give the highest five they can; Let U.S. Prey, a 15 foot wide eagle made from pennies, nickels, and dimes; and Shelly the Hermit Crab, a much larger than life animatronic crustacean.
