Join the festivities at Salsa Festival 2022 for a day of environmental and cultural experiences with music, dance, and food and beverages being offered all day long.
- Kids Zone will include environmentally-friendly bubbles, story time with Berkeley Library, sing-along with Mariela’s Bilingual Music Time, upcylced percussion instrument making, Kids’ drum circle, visits from Compton the Compost puppet, and more.
- Live music performances by San Francisco Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble, Berkeley High School Jazz Band, Afro-Cuban Afro Peruvian artist Erick Peralta, and Grammy Award Winner Christian Pepin y su Orquesta Bembe.
- Salsa dance performance and demonstration of basic Salsa dance step with Professional Latin Dancer Rebecca Galindo.
- Food and drinks will be locally-sourced and sustainably-made in tandem with the adjacent Farmers’ Market.
- Plus Latin drum circle, the Fashion Trashion booth, pedal-powered smoothies, sustainable cooking demonstration, and shop from local artisans.
