Black History Month @ Library: Family Drumming

NOTE: This date/event is in the past. Keep browsing.

Families are invited to learn the West African Dundun and Djembe drumming tradition, an old performance art form of the Susu and Mandinka peoples of the region and can be found throughout Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Gambia and the Ivory Coast.

Tacuma King is a teacher and master percussionist who brings an expansive knowledge of music and dance combined with a warmth and playful magic to his classes and workshops for kids. Hear and try the djembe, dundun, and conga drums in this special interactive program.
