Get those book totes ready! Join Children’s Fairyland in Oakland for its annual return of the Children’s Book Festival on June 3, 2023. Talented authors and illustrators will take over our storybook theme park with over thirty exhibitors offering a curated selection of kid-lit titles. This year’s collective of headlining speakers includes Christian Robinson, Shawn Harris, Mac Barnett, JaNay Brown-Wood and Gennifer Choldenko. Visitors will enjoy read-alouds by authors and see live art demonstrations, shop for books from The Collective Oakland and get them autographed in person, celebrate the incredible 8-12 year olds from the Youth Writers’ Workshop, and much more!
