Messy Art Day is a free community event, hosted annually in the spring at ECPC, where children 5 and under can explore colors, textures and a variety of media in a safe and fun environment. Messy Art Day is all about the process of art, not the product, where kids are encouraged to immerse their entire bodies in materials, from paint to shaving cream, ice, confetti, oobleck, bubbles, toilet paper and more.

This year the event will include hands-on activities for kids ages 5-12 outside on the closed street. Food trucks, music, and more art activities will be available on Ashbury Street, between Moeser Lane and Waldo Avenue.

Each of the 20-25 play stations is custom-built by ECPC members from materials recycled by members or alumni, or donated by the community partners. Human Spin Art, Slide Paint, Crave the Shave, House of Fetti, Oobleck and Clean Mud are just a few of the favorites!

In 2020, Messy Art Day will be held on Sunday, March 15 from 10:30 am – 2:00 pm.

Visit the Facebook event page for more information.
