The Hayward Area Historical Society invites families to learn about the big role the Hayward Shoreline has played in the history of the area at the HAHS Museum of History and Culture.
On Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 am, families can attend a special story time focusing on swimming and the beach – the perfect way to wrap up summer! Following story time, children can participate in age-appropriate crafts and activities from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. This month, learn about how important salt is and how it shaped the area’s development, then make a unique salt crystal sculpture.
For those with shorter attention spans, the museum also offers a free play arts table, or a book and toy nook.
The Hayward Area Historical Society is located on the 2nd floor at 22380 Foothill Blvd. Please enter through the parking lot side and take the elevator.
