Bring in the first night of Hanukkah with Urban Adamah and Eden Village West. Spend the afternoon on the farm exploring the gardens and welcoming the festival of lights. This interactive celebration will include apple cider pressing, beeswax candle-making workshops, baking tutorials, music, and so much more!
Bring the whole family for the afternoon and stay until night falls, when they will light the first candle of the hanukkiah together in community. This event is open to all ages, but workshops will be geared towards children ages 6 – 12 and their parents.
Schedule of Events:
- 1:30-2:30 pm: Open house! Say hi to the goats, wander the vegetable beds, explore the children’s garden.
- 2:30 – 4:30: Workshops! Join a variety of hands-on workshops with Eden Village West and Urban Adamah Camp staff to prepare for the Festival of Lights.
- 4:30 – 5:30: Candle Lighting! The festival will close as the community gathers to light candles, sing, and welcome in the first night of Hanukkah.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
Accessibility Notes: This event will be held in the heated, ADA-accessible tent. One accessible parking spot in the parking lot. If the parking lot is full, street parking is available around the farm, but please do not leave anything visible in your cars.
