Gallery + Studio: Shapes Are Facts—Looking and Making with Frederick Hammersley

Kim Bennett is an artist and teacher whose work ranges across disciplines and includes devotional botanical paintings, imaginary embroideries, and collaborations with kids, poets, and other artists. She holds a BFA from Cooper Union and an MFA from California College of the Arts.

Enjoy looking at the work of Frederick Hammersley, especially his puzzling and peculiar shapes! (Where do they come from?) Make a composition from your own intriguing cut-paper shapes and give it a special frame using our wide-ranging collection of collage materials.
