Jack London Square will celebrate the start of the holiday season with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 22 from 5–8 p.m.
Festivities will begin at 5 p.m., with the lighting of the tree taking place at 6:30 p.m. Oakland’s favorite annual holiday tradition promises to deliver holiday magic to the Oakland waterfront with the lighting of a spectacular 50+ foot Mount Shasta Fir Tree adorned with thousands of sparking white lights and hundreds of colorful ornaments.
More than 2,500 people are expected to gather for the event, which will feature festive holiday entertainment, holiday pop up shops, a local artisan market, and more! The festivities are open to the public and free to attend.
