Shawl-Anderson Dance Center has opened up an 8-week online semester and is offering Yoga for youth for the first time. These classes are free of charge, donations to the Teachers Support Fund gratefully accepted. NOTA!
Let’s get on the mat to move and breathe. Let's get off the mat to move and dance. This 30-min yoga class is the perfect midday movement break for home schooling students and will be sure to shake off any Monday blues with yoga games, songs, meditation and asana. Younger siblings welcome! Yoga will help support children with tools for creative engagement and deeper consciousness all the while learning or deepening a beneficial skill.
Led by April C. Taylor, Miss April, a seasoned dance and movement teacher in the Greater Bay Area with 20 years of teaching experience. Miss April loves the teach yoga to young people. She believes in the power of the form to guide children as they make their own way in this time of Sheltering in Place. Yoga will give your child tools to support them cope, move, breathe and thrive!
