Move, Stretch, Breath: Weekly Yoga Practice for Budding Yogis (8-12 yrs)

This ongoing class will introduce budding yogis to yoga through movement, breathing exercises, games and group discussion.

No prior yoga experience necessary.

The class will start with a short sharing circle and centering activity followed by a warm-up flow and poses. The class will end in short relaxation/guided visualization. There will also be opportunities for students to participate in group discussion and express themselves. This class will be fun, playful but include more advanced yoga instruction that is appropriate for this age group. Each class will have a theme to give students a focus for their practice. The goal of these classes is to promote self-confidence, build inner and outer strength, flexibility, and stamina and equip students with the tools to help them focus and stay centered.
