Come out to Piedmont Park for Piedmont’s 23rd Annual Harvest Festival! Enjoy a farmers market, food trucks, carnival, jazz festival, & edibles contest at this family-favorite event.
A popular feature at the Piedmont Harvest Festival is the array of food submitted for judging. Homemade jams and jellies, breads, pies, salsa and other edibles can be submitted by home cooks for judging at the festival. People are asked to bring an entry form for each submission between 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, September 22 to Piedmont Community Hall, 711 Highland Ave. The Bill Drum Memorial Prize will be awarded to the person or group that receives the most blue ribbons for their entries. There is no charge to enter.
Among other activities will be a jazz festival highlighting some of Piedmont’s finest musicians. Throughout the day, music will ring out as the jazz festival takes place on an outdoor stage in the Piedmont Community Park.
Another food-oriented event is the farmers market, with tables overflowing with heritage tomatoes, squash, fresh corn, peaches, melons and mini-pumpkins, Indian corn and gourds to celebrate fall.
There will be a number of food trucks offering a wide array of gourmet choices.
