Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month at San Lorenzo Library and uplift local Queer voices and creativity! All are invited to a day full of fun celebrating creativity, inclusion, diversity, and art. This event will feature fun for the whole family including speaker panels from queer authors and artists, crafts, prize drawings, comic and zine creation, appearances from local queer artists and zinesters, and more!
Opening ceremony will begin at noon! Don’t miss out!

- Our Stories Matter: Censored Authors Discuss Their Banned Books – feat. MariNaomi, Katryn Bury
- A Discussion of Local Comic & Book Stores as Queer Spaces – feat. owners of A.B.O. Comix Collective & Silver Sprocket
- Queer Representation in AfroFuturism – feat. professor, author and artist, Ajuan Mance; owner of Sistah Sci-Fi Book Store, Isis Asarae; & author, Duane Horton
- What is Waacking?: Introduction & Dance Class – feat. Kristie Lui of Rae Studios
- Cosplay Fashion Show – feat. Cosplay with Pride & Bay Area Bounty Hunters
- Appearances from community resources: Oakland Black Pride, Bay Area Queer Zine Fest, Planned Parenthood, Oakland LGBTQ Center, Community Resources for Independent Living (CRIL)
