Katie Train Activities Day is almost here!
It's our once-a-year celebration of “Katie” our little green locomotive! This event is designed for small children 6 and under. Some of the fun “Katie” activities include: RIDE the Katie Train; PLAY engineer with our wooden trains; TOOL TIME for kids that includes activities with tools just their size; DESIGN with Nuts and Bolts; BUILD with Jumbo Waffle Blocks; READ train books at the Train Book Library; TOSS beanbags at the Beanbag Cargo Toss; PHOTO OPS with our wooden Katie; and MORE!
Older children can enjoy Katie Train rides plus the farmyard activities at Ardenwood Historic Farm. The historic Patterson House will be open for tours conducted by docents in 19th century costumes (purchase tickets at the Patterson House)—a special tour for families with children ages 6 & under is offered at 11:30 am, space is limited. Visit the Farmyard Café for food, treats and drinks; or bring a picnic.
SAFETY FIRST! To participate children must be supervised by an adult. All activities are outdoors – remember to bring hats and sunscreen. Some activities require the kids to kneel on the grass (some activities are on low tables), so dress children accordingly.
