Shape Shifters and Mischief Makers: Native American Stories

Alicia Retes, a storytelling musician who is Yaqui, Mayo and Cherokee, is an engaging performer who plays Native musical instruments and weaves songs into stories that uplift the listener.

As the Education Director at the Museum of the American Indian in Novato, Ms. Retes shares her knowledge of the Coast Miwok people and sings original tri-lingual songs (Coast Miwok, Spanish, and English). Alicia’s family-friendly presentations are always fun, educational, and entertaining.
