Julian Hornik is a Brooklyn-based, Palo Alto-raised composer/lyricist whose songs have been performed at, amongst others, the Kennedy Center, New York City Center, Carnegie Hall, and Walt Disney Hall. His oratorio commissioned by the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus was set to premiere at Davies Symphony Hall on March 27th (now postponed due to Corona Virus). Julian is the recipient of the 2017 Lucille and Jack Yellen Award and the 2018 Sammy Cahn Award from the ASCAP Foundation, Yale’s Norman Holmes Pearson Prize, and is a 2020 Jonathan Larson Grant finalist.
