Wildlife Festival & Food Trucks - 510 Families

Wildlife Festival & Food Trucks

Come enjoy the beautiful historic ranch and 18-acre nature preserve, rarely open to the public.  Join a variety of activities for all ages, especially kids.  Featuring wildlife fun at the Frog Pond (red-legged frogs and our resident western pond turtle, Mr. T).  Visit friendly goats & colorful parrots in the garden.  Try out hands-on nature arts and crafts, science magic, & earth day games, get a temporary nature tattoo from Coyote Brush!  Join a rare tour of the meadows, woodland, ponds and streams, and the historic home site of Theodore Wagner, California’s first Surveyor General. Visit our solar oven specialist, Master Gardeners, & Doc Hale (“mountain lion whisperer” and Environmentalist).  Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic lunch or visit the food trucks on site.  (All trucks offer a vegetarian option.)

Kids: Pick up your Wildlife Passports to get stamped at 10 stations for a free honey stick at the Friends of the Nature Area Station!  Grownups: As you enter, check out the Native Plants for donations.
