Spotlight on Galileo Innovation Classes for Kids

While we've been sheltering in place, East Bay summer camp favorite Galileo has been reinventing itself, which is no surprise because the company is entirely devoted to teaching kids the innovation skills they'll need to be 21st century problem solvers. Clearly, our world depends on them!  This article is sponsored by Galileo

There are three programs currently offered by Galileo that are all designed with the same underlying principles: kids learn best through joyful, enriching hands-on activities that build skills and boost confidence—all while giving grown-ups a much-needed break. In this post, we'll introduce Galileo at Home, Galileo Anywhere, and Galileo Parties. Read on to learn more about each of them.

Galileo at Home is an all-new program that brings everything families love about Camp Galileo to a backyard near you.

During days filled with distance learning, kids are eager to use their brains and bodies in different ways. That’s where Galileo At Home comes in. Your very own dedicated Galileo staffer will supervise remote learning and/or provide fun, enriching activities away from the screen in your (or your pod buddy’s) backyard. All activities are derived from Galileo's innovation curriculum.

Pod staffers can supervise kids between Pre-K and 5th grade for a fixed number of hours per day and days per week with additional flex-time options coming soon.

Galileo Anywhere offers a range of engaging online classes to create a joy-filled, innovation-infused, camp-away-from-camp adventure for Pre-K-8th graders all year long.

The online classes are available a la carte, weekly, or as week-long programs if you would like to try a new routine for your child. Classes range from “Paper Builders: Awesome Amusement Parks” for 2nd and 3rd graders to “Chefology: Scrumptious Sweets” for middle school students.

Your family can preview a Galileo Anywhere online class for free at 3:30pm on October 8. Sign up here >

In the sample class, kids will let their imagination run wild as they build the zoo of their dreams. Learn paper crafting skills like tent & tab folding for standing features and experiment with color + texture as they embellish each habitat to bring their fiercely inventive creation to life.

Galileo Anywhere Parties provide a new way to celebrate birthdays

More spirited than everyday distance learning and more structured than an online hang, a Galileo Anywhere Virtual Party offers unforgettable experiences built to share, led by inspiring Galileo staffers and customized for your group’s ages and interests.

Galileo Parties are not just about the projects, though. They are designed to give Kindergarten – 8th graders a healthy helping of the social interactions they crave.
