Head Over Heels gymnastics center in Emeryville invites parents to create their own day camp as an innovative childcare solution. School closed for a staff development day? Rally your fellow school parents to coordinate an impromptu mini-day camp with friends.
Head Over Heels requires a minimum of six children to attend, and enough advance notice that they can staff the activities, but if those stars align, families will be able to drop children off at 9 am, and pick up at 4.30 pm that afternoon.
Note that Head Over Heels already has scheduled No-School Camp Days for January 21, 22, and 25, 2019, so you do not need to recruit a critical mass to take part in those.
The prices are $105 per child, per day for school-age children. (Preschoolers, ages three and four, can attend camp for half-days for $90 for 9 am to 1.30. Children must be four or older and fully potty trained.)
