Reserve your spot (using the clunky municipal website) for a FREE drive-in movie series in Berkeley on Friday nights at the marina. Berkeley’s Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department is excited to present a new Drive-in Movie series in the Hs. Lordships parking lot at the Berkeley Marina. I’m so excited, I already bought my free tickets.
In keeping with other summer outdoor movies, this movie series will feature socially distanced vehicle parking spaces and some popular family-friendly films. Parking spots will be limited.
What to expect at the Berkeley Marina Drive-In
A large portable 30’ x 17’ inflatable movie screen and sound playing directly through your car stereo system will bring these movies to life, and allow you and your family to enjoy a real drive-in movie experience in Berkeley. All of the movies will take place at 199 Seawall Dr. (the former Hs. Lordships Restaurant parking lot).
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the movie begins. While you can enjoy the movie from the comfort of your vehicle, you are welcome to bring blankets, sleeping bags, and/or beach chairs and sit outside within your vehicle’s designated zone to watch the movie. While outside of your vehicle, or if your windows or hatchback/tailgate are open, a face covering is required.
A flashlight or headlamp makes walking to the portable restrooms easier. This is an alcohol-free event.
