Our contributor, Becky, tipped us off to a very cool experience available to the first arrivals each day at San Francisco’s Disney store in Union Square (accessible by Powell Street BART or served by many nearby parking garages): Unlock Imagination!
A unique opening ceremony takes place every single day at our nearest Disney Store. One lucky child is chosen each day to take part in the opening ceremony and officially “Unlock Imagination” at Disney Store with an oversized lock and key.
The SF Disney store opens Mon-Sat at 10am and Sundays at 11am. Plan to get there a little early. Read more about the experience her daughters, Maisy and Maren, had opening the Disney store and what they got to take home as souvenirs.
Even if you miss the opening ceremony, the Disney store is full of free experiences for children and fans of all ages: a special interactive mirror that responds to wand changes, shows galore, a coloring station.
