In Squads After School, students ages 7-17 also choose from a fun tech course including Minecraft, Roblox, Virtual Robotics, JavaScript, Game Design, and more, but learn alongside others in a small group with four other students. In fact, students are encouraged to invite their own friends and save (Invite friends to your Squad and you’ll both save $25), or, can simply join others to meet new friends. Squads run online for 90 minutes of social learning one day per week with students meeting for four consecutive weeks.
Age of student: 7-17
Format and Price: Pricing starts at $299/week. Purchase a five-pack of Squads and save 15% on twenty 90-minute sessions.

What a student needs to be successful

With both learning options, students will be learning from iD Certified Instructors, all from the comfort and safety of home. A student will be most successful when they are genuinely curious about the topics being covered.

For Online Private Lessons, a PC or Mac is generally required for most lessons. While not required, a webcam, mic, and reliable internet connection are preferred.

For Squads After School courses, students will need a Windows or Mac computer with audio and video capabilities. (Tablets and Chromebooks are not recommended, as the multi-tasking ability between Zoom and other required software is often unreliable or nonexistent.)

What makes this program special?

Both online learning options leverage iD Tech’s vast expertise with a nationally recognized curriculum and live instruction. Fresh off the successes and challenges from a summer camp season spent virtually, iD Tech instructors are fired up and ready. Will your student thrive with customized learning in Online Private Lessons or the fun social learning with other students in Squads After School?

What parents say about iD Tech Online Programs

“My daughter, Chelsea, has been having weekly online sessions on Python and Cybersecurity with instructor, KeVeon, for 2 terms now and she is absolutely enjoying it. KeVeon is a fantastic instructor because not only is he very knowledgeable of the language, he is also extremely patient, punctual, professional, accommodating and, according to Chelsea, funny! All these traits make Chelsea really enjoy her lessons. I also value KeVeon’s very prompt and professional end of session reports, so helpful in allowing me to know what my daughter has been learning.”

“Over a dozen private sessions later, the iD Tech instructor still makes it fun for my daughter to learn. She used Java code to create a custom potion in Minecraft that had random but VERY powerful effects. One drink and she shot like Supergirl off the edge of the planet, the other drink shot her into orbit…we both laughed so hard we cried. This is what iD Tech learning is all about, fun for the kids and parents alike.”

“Our instructor was amazing! Her patience and enthusiasm for all things coding was contagious. My 10-year-old daughter now enjoys coding and looks forward to her lessons.”

Bottom line on Fall 2020 programs from iD Tech

The amazing instructors and compelling tech topics make these classes ones that your kids will beg for! Let us know which ones you love.
