Oakland A's Play Ball events for community kids are free - 510 Families

Oakland A’s Play Ball events for community kids are free

510Families.com is pleased to be sponsored by the Oakland A’s this year. Opening day is Thursday, March 28 and we have special offers on tickets for 510families.com readers.

The Oakland A’s will host A’s PLAY BALL events, presented by Bank of America, at local community parks throughout the 2020 season. Fans, families, and kids can join the fun in neighborhoods throughout Oakland and the East Bay. The family-friendly events will include free baseball and softball clinics designed for kids ages 5 to 13. No equipment or experience is required.

The clinics will have a rotation of five stations, including base running, home run derby, fielding and throwing, agility drills, and a bat and ball game.

The A’s lovable mascot Stomper and the A’s Green Machine will be at select A’s PLAY BALL events.

About the mission of A’s PLAY BALL events

The Oakland A’s PLAY BALL events support Major League Baseball’s collective initiative to encourage young people and communities to engage in baseball and softball activities. PLAY BALL demonstrates the positive ways the game can serve as an outlet for physical activity, fun with friends, and learning how to play the sport at its most fundamental levels.
