Do you shudder at the amount of candy your child gets trick-or-treating? I love the fun of the Halloween experience, and I’m honestly not afraid of a night or two of over-the-top candy consumption, but the amount they get — it could last for months! Halloween candy buyback programs to the rescue! Participating dentists offer incentives in exchange for Halloween loot.

What is a Halloween Candy Buy-Back Program?
A Halloween Candy Buy-Back Program is a fun and healthy way for families to reduce excess sugar consumption after trick-or-treating. Dental offices and other local businesses “buy back” extra candy from kids — often offering cash, prizes, or other incentives in exchange.
The goal? To promote healthy habits, prevent cavities, and reduce candy overload while keeping the Halloween spirit alive.
