Twirl is a creative and innovative indoor play space worth exploring in the bustling downtown of Alameda. Filled with shelves of reusable materials, walls of paints, a studio complete with pottery wheels and countless dress-ups and train tracks, the space is built perfectly for the 3 – 8 crowd.
Twirl’s studio is split into dedicated sections, with the front being the craft station. Your kids can sit down to work on a set art project, or craft to their fancy with various materials available at your service. Behind the crafts you’ll find a place to explore and play. Climb into the tree house, sit for a tea party, build with legos, read a book or take a ride around the track on wheels. You’ll find plenty of ways to imagine, explore and learn during Twirl’s drop-in hours.
Twirl also offers a variety of classes just for kids. Their Kids Art Evenings start with a pizza dinner, move on to art, stories and then play. Kids get to take home the creation they made, and you get to take them home straight to bed. Twirl also provides various camp opportunities when school is closed, drop-off hours when scheduled, and is a popular venue for birthday parties.
Admission to Twirl is good for all day, which means you can craft in the morning, explore Park Street for lunch, coffee or snacks, and then stop back in to play a bit before nap time.
