Open throughout December, this spectacular home is worth a visit. Motivated by the memory of an adult daughter he lost, homeowner Bob Taylor and his wife Linda illuminate their block with zillions of Christmas lights radiating from their corner house.
We visited a few years back, and the owners of “The Christmas House” in the Glen Cove area of Vallejo were so sweet, greeting visitors on their front porch with candy canes, that my kids took a photo with them, and we joked that they were our new grandparents.
Walking around the perimeter of the home, guests will spot popular cartoon characters, a moving carousel wheel, and creative implementations of massive light strands. I made a mental note to experiment with aluminum foil on my tree next Christmas.
