Virtual JCAS After-school Classes: Ages 5 – 12 years old
Registration now open with rolling enrollment throughout the term.
A variety of class offerings Monday through Friday beginning at 3 pm and 4 pm.
A creative and experiential “after school” experience that supports young learners as a community of creatives. During our after school program students make new friends and learn new skills in a warm and friendly environment.
A variety of projects are designed around an ongoing theme for each class and are scaled to be developmentally appropriate and meet the needs of individual learners. Each theme combines art, science, and play with friends.
Classes are led by professional teaching artists and science educators who inspire an open and creative environment where students feel encouraged to take risks, explore, and try their hands at a myriad of techniques.
Offerings include Art Adventures, Game Design, Making Music, Art Club!, and Game Design.

JCAS Seasonal Camps: Ages 5 – 12 years old
Week of November 23rd and December 28th
The Junior Center of Art and Science takes the best parts of camp and provides them online: playing games, making new friends, and most of all – having fun in a creative way. Camps run for a half-day and include activities both online and offline. In just one week, your little one can learn a new skill or reach expert levels with a professional teaching artists or science educator.
Sliding Scale class rates for all programs
The cost to run JCAS programs is approximately $260 per student. They aim to make programs affordable to all families and offer pricing on a sliding scale fee from $55 – $275 for up to 10 sessions. (Prices are reduced to accommodate virtual format.)
Families choose the amount they are able to pay. The Junior Center continues to fundraise to make sliding scale available and know that families will be as generous as possible.
Materials and supplies provided
