Between December 3 and February 26, the Golden State Warriors host a series of basketball “camps” for kids. Sessions range from a 3-hour clinic to a multi-day clinic.

Warriors camps locations move around the Bay Area, from Santa Cruz to Santa Rosa, and include the Oakland Arena and JAMTOWN, an indoor basketball complex in Oakland. Additional East Bay sessions are in Tice Valley Gymnasium, Walnut Creek.

Ages and activities: Activities include stretching, skills stations, 1:1 games, listening skills talks, and more.

Future Stars camps are for 5-8 year olds; High Potential camps are for 11-17 year olds; Parent/Child clinics are offered, as well as shooting clinics.

Professional basketball players (not guaranteed) may make appearances at camp sessions.

A special experience gift

Warriors Camp includes

  • Interactive instruction and skill-building activities for 3 hours
  • A reversible jersey intended for wear during camp
  • A goody bag of Warriors swag

Most sessions include two tickets to a Warriors game taking place on one of the camp days. Early bird prices are currently available.

Note that the hours of the camps are not childcare-like hours, so reserving this special experience for a child is truly a gift. A 3-hour clinic at the Oakland Arena, plus two tickets to a game the same night is about $300. Parents can stay and watch, or drop-off. (Parents will not have to pay to park at the Oakland Arena during camp, but will have to pay if they exit and re-enter for a game the same evening.)

Stay tuned for summer dates

The Golden State Warriors also offer summer camps in similar formats, and they sell out well in advance. Stay tuned for updates on those dates.
