Take a Field Trip
Looking to do some out-of-the-house activities? Here’s a list of go-to destinations for families with grade school children. Museums are a great way to learn outside the classroom, and some even offer free admission. Find a new museum, or one that specializes in your child’s interests, in our Guide to Visit Museums for Free. For some close-to-home options, if you want to escape the house for a few hours, check out Kid-Friendly Things to Do in Richmond, and visit a Kids Guide to Point Richmond.

For updates on the strike, we recommend signing up for email updates from United Teachers of Richmond. Also, check with your school’s PTA for resources, including child care options that parents within your school may be coordinating. We’ll continue to share updates and resources as the situation evolves, and we’re wishing all WCCUSD families flexibility, support, and patience in the days ahead.
