Black Joy Parade and Celebration

Black Joy Parade is a hyper-positive, family-friendly event to celebrate the Black experience past, present, and future. It is the largest free, family-friendly event of its kind. You’re invited to come to be present, be creative, be open, and be free.

The parade begins on 14th and Broadway in downtown Oakland at 12:30 pm (lasting about 2 hours).  There will also be a Celebration Site, located at 20th and Franklin, that features a curation of performances, food and drink, Lil Joy (children’s zone), gaming area, roller skating rink, and more. The event closes at 7 pm.
