After-School Classes for Kids in Oakland, Berkeley and Beyond

An extension of the popular 3DMAKERCAMP summer program, students Kids ages 7–11 build real STEAM skills through 3D printing, laser cutting, and robotics. Located in Oakland on Mon-Wed with transportation available, the program includes homework help, snacks, and creative, hands-on learning.

ACC is a fun, supportive & creative club for adoptees, 7-14 years, to explore their adoption story. Director, Mary Ellen Hill, MA, is an adoptee, teacher and a professional storyteller. Once a month on Sundays., Feb-May 2026, 12 – 4p, $460, Scholarships, Location: Edwards Ave. & 580 in Oak.

ANTS Tennis offers an encouraging team environment for K-5th kids of all experience levels to explore tennis. Your child will learn the FUNdamentals of tennis through engaging games and activities while building confidence, teamwork, healthy habits, and great sportsmanship both on and off the court.

Bay Linguistic Advancement Center welcomes K-5th scholars to learn Spanish or Portuguese in a supportive, inspiring, and sunny school setting that incorporates a Montessori approach. After-school and Saturday classes are available.

Berkeley Ballet offers ballet training for all ages, from fun and imaginative Creative Movement for toddlers, to the Youth Division, which balances rigorous technique with nurturing support. Youth Division dancers participate in two stage performances per year.

Berkeley City Ballet is Berkeley's premier school for classical ballet. They offer Pre-Ballet classes for ages 2.5-6 and a Pre-Professional Program for ages 7 and up.

Middle and high school artists explore animation, painting, drawing, fiber arts, and upcycled clothing design in this Strawberry Creek Park studio. Taught by professional artists, classes encourage technical skill, creative thinking, and personal expression in a welcoming, supportive community.

Berkeley Playhouse offers fun-filled musical theater classes this fall. Students in grades K-6 will enjoy story-based classes inspired by Frozen and Mary Poppins, while students in grades 4-7 will hone their acting, dancing, and singing skills in our popular Triple Threat class.

Magnolia Music School offers after-school music classes for K–8 students, including group guitar, ukulele, and songwriting classes and youth choirs. Kids learn through an indie folk-pop lens in a warm, creative environment that nurtures confidence, musicality, and joyful collaboration.

Mr. D’s Music Club presents The Creative Spaces—a fun, engaging, and unique after-school performing arts program blending singing, acting, dancing, and art. Kids build confidence, expand creativity, and shine in a final performance. Trial Classes are available.
