East Bay Private Schools Open Houses and Tours

Oakland and Berkeley area private schools offer many choices for in-person and remote learning. They are pioneering advances in educating the whole child to thrive in today’s complex world. At this time most, if not all, tours and visitations are happening online (so you can wear your pajamas at home if you feel like it). Happy visiting!

With the help of EBISA, the East Bay Independent Schools Association, we have assembled this guide to virtual visitations, tours, and other prospective family events at our area’s independent (AKA private) schools. For up-to-the-minute changes, check the embedded calendar here from or with the schools in question.

  1. Hi,

I wanted to introduce a new private school, Our New School, (Pre-K through 8th grade) that is opening in the Fall 2020 in Walnut Creek. Please feel to reach out to me with any questions.

    Thank you,

  2. A school not mentioned above is Challenger School – Ardenwood. Our well-maintained Ardenwood private school campus was designed and built by Challenger from the ground up in a safe, beautiful neighborhood with easy freeway access via I-880 and the SR 84 Dumbarton Bridge. You’ll love our cheery and spacious classrooms, huge spaces for outdoor play, and positive and friendly teachers. A well-established campus, we offer all-day PS–8 programs and substantial support staff for parents in the Silicon Valley.
