Cave Exploration with CaveSim - 510 Families

Cave Exploration with CaveSim

Does the idea of exploring a cave seem exciting to you? Would you like to become a brave explorer? Come to Fremont Main Library to explore a cave on wheels. CaveSim has recreated 150+ feet of tunnels and a 12′ vertical caving tower to explore. All ages are welcome. Young friends can also engage in various hands-on activities such as energetic games about bat biology, cave rescue practice with a real stretcher, and STEM lessons with working cave rescue phones. Don’t miss out and join the library to learn about caves in a fun and engaging manner.

They have activities for ages 3 and up. The mobile cave is best for ages 5 and up. All participants, regardless of age, must be able to understand and follow the rules. Disabled/wheelchair bound people can participate in the Mobile Cave as long as long as they can do the squeezebox first. The wheelchair accessible portion enables participants who use wheelchairs to enter a portion of the cave while remaining in their wheelchairs. Deploying the wheelchair ramp does take some time, so please be patient and communicate with CaveSim staff if you would like to use the accessible area.

This program will be held outside near the Paseo Padre side of the library in the staff parking lot. Activities are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Stop by any time during the program open hours but you must be in line by 4:00 pm.
