Each year in April, the City celebrates Earth Day with a morning of volunteerism.
They invite you to join or organize an Earth Day work party!
The City of El Cerrito welcomes volunteers to:
- Help tidy parks & public spaces
- Pick up litter to reduce the amount of trash that ends up in our creeks, waterways and the Bay
- Remove invasive plants and weeds
- Participate in activities that beautify our community’s natural areas
The City encourages individuals, families and groups to register their work parties in advance by completing a Work Party Registration Form or emailing earthday@elcerrito.gov with details on site location, number of volunteers and type of work that will be performed by Sunday, April 19, 2026.
