Celebrate Earth Day with a morning of volunteerism and work parties.
- Citywide Work Parties from 9 am to 12 noon
- Complimentary seedling giveaway by the El Cerrito Community Garden Network with the El Cerrito Garden Club at the City Corporation Yard (across from the El Cerrito Recycling + Environmental Resource Center)
The City of El Cerrito welcomes volunteers to:
- Help tidy parks.
- Pick up litter to reduce the amount of trash that ends up in our creeks, waterways and the Bay.
- Participate in activities that beautify our community’s natural areas.
The City encourages individuals, families and groups to register in advance by emailing [email protected] by April 14, 2024. Interested parties may also report to the Earth Day Registration table at the El Cerrito Corporation Yard (7450 Schmidt Lane, across from the Recycling + Environmental Resource Center) on April 20th for a complete list of activities and select a work activity for the day (work parties will also be listed on this page). The City provides volunteers with gloves, bags and tools to borrow for their work party activity.
