June 8: Painting with Nature

Learn how people in Mesoamerica used nature to make bright colors for art and dyeing cloth, then explore natural pigments and create your own artwork inspired by this tradition.

June 15: Mayan Calendar and Me

Learn about the Mayan Haab calendar, compare it to our modern calendar and then create your own to take home.

June 22: Sun and Stone: Mayan Pyramids and the Solstice

Explore how the Maya studied the sun and stars to track time, learn how pyramids were built to mark solstices, then build your own model that uses light and shadow.
